Make Your Clutter Work for You!
May 6, 2010
If you’ve been taking steps to de-clutter your life – first of all – CONGRATULATIONS! You’re probably enjoying the peace of mind that comes from having everything in its proper place. But while de-cluttering brings ample mental and emotional rewards – it can also bring some more material awards as well!
Don’t you hate it when something that you use everyday finally wears out and breaks? Whether it’s your coffee maker, or your washing machine – there comes a time where you need to make a new purchase – but what if you’re short on cash?
That’s where your old clutter can actually help out! While you’re de-cluttering, set aside items that can be sold via Craigslist or Ebay. After all, some clutter should just be thrown away, some should be donated to thrift shops, but there’s nothing wrong with selling some items! After all, one person’s clutter is another person’s treasure! Now, take the money that you’ve made from selling old items, and open a savings account. Presto chango! You’ve just got yourself an emergency fund! Now, there’s no need to suffer when your coffee maker goes kaput! In a way, it’s like your old clutter is able to buy you a new coffee maker! Saving money has never been so easy.
