Everyone Loves Sharpies: Another Sharpie Tip

The Sharpie…don’t you just love ’em? I recently came across a new use for those mini’s that can clip onto keychains and stuff.
My family was at Chuck E. Cheese (or Chunky Cheese as my DH calls it) and all the kids had their own drinks as well as those plastic cups to hold the tokens. Well they couldn’t keep track of whose was whose, so I whipped out my Mini Sharpie and put their initials on them!

Then I started to think of all the other practical applications in similar situations that one could do: at picnics or anywhere serving in plastic or styrofoam cups, even paper plates! I could have it at the ready for kids initials on clothes tags, shopping bags (for when what’s inside matters to a particular kiddo), Oh the possibilities! And with 24 colors, what could be better?
Just keep them away from the youngsters…we had an unfortunate incident not too long ago where the older sibling left one out and the younger sibling “maked pictures!” on every horizontal and vertical surface she could reach in the kitchen! (Doesn’t come off good from glossy paint…7 coats later, you can barely even tell!)[LG]Great for paint touch-ups![/LG]
Where do you use your Sharpie?
I heart sharpies. So does my 3 year old. So far he has sharpied my newly reupolsterd chairs, the wood paneling in the den, the antigue desk and my computer screen. I’m so over it.
I use it for everything though. The kids backpack, folders, projects, storage items (what’s in the box) Very important dates get the sharpie treatment on the calendar while regular stuff is written in pen.We sharpie the kids waterbottles, special cups….I could go on and on.
I think that little girl in the picture and my son would of made a great couple.
They are so handy, and so hard to keep away from little ones!

Tip for the gal with sharpie on her computer screen. You can remove sharpie (on non-porous surfaces ONLY) with a dry erase market. It takes it right off.
I found this out when I made an intricate grid with a sharpie on a dry erase board. The first time I erased the dry erase, everywhere I had written on the grid, erased away. I was so bumed.
But, days later, when my kid sharpied my kitchen counters, I was a happy camper….
And, yes, I am a sharpie junkie, too
i was in school with mini sharpies my friend gave me…his dad warks for sharpie…^^ and ya we had a lecture so i drew alot it was a life saver i might have learned what she was lecturing about if it wasnt for sharpie^^ jk lol =) ^^
