Freestanding Shoe Rack for my All-Stars
June 14, 2013
I’ll admit it; I am a little bit obsessed with my favorite brand and style of shoes. I have dozens of pairs of this one single shoe, albeit in a wide variety of colors. What I love about this shoe is that it has a light yet iconic style and has been in production since the middle of the century – that is longevity! With dozens of pairs of this shoe, I really needed to invest in a quality freestanding shoe rack.
You may be asking yourself: “What shoe could possibly be so attractive that someone would exclusively and obsessively buy new pairs every week?” Well folks, I’ll tell you – it is the Converse All-Star, informally known as the Chuck All-Star. These shoes are cozy, durable, lightweight and they look cool!
They come in a wide range of colors too, making them perfect for collecting. I have had red, white, blue, grey, green, beige, orange, yellow, pink (yes I am a man), and even zebra-stripes! I can accessorize my shoes with my outfit every single day of the week, if I chose to. I don’t usually do that, but I could if I wanted to!
These days, people usually associate All-Stars with alternative people such as punk-rockers, skateboarders and other counter-culture figures. However, what is funny about these sneakers is that they started out as a basketball shoe. Can you believe how far they have come in manufacturing athletic shoes? I love my Chucks, but I’m sorry – there is no way I would ever attempt to play a sport with that flimsy canvas the only protection against a sprained ankle.
The best way to organize all those Chucks is a freestanding shoe rack
I use a freestanding shoe rack to keep all of my Chuck All-Stars in order. This Cedar Shoe Rack was the perfect choice for storing my vast array of shoes. It has a simple design that can be stacked and is made from that sweet-scented cedar wood.
